St Michael and All Angels

Christingle
Last year, we had one of our biggest Christingle services on Christmas Eve ever, with almost 250 people packing out our Church to celebrate the beginning of Christmas, during which Christingles were handed out to children. Thank you to everyone who came along. We are pleased to announce that £472 was raised on the night for the Children’s Society.

Eastington Church Annual Meeting

Our Annual Meeting will take place on Thursday 4th April 2019 at 7pm at Eastington Church. All parishioners are encouraged to attend to discuss and vote upon matters which will have a significant bearing upon the future of the Church within our village.
There will be two vacancies for Churchwardens and nine vacancies for the Church Council, including a Secretary and Treasurer. At present, we do not have anyone who is intending to stand as Churchwarden or Treasurer. Therefore unless individuals are willing to come forward to stand as a Churchwarden or Treasurer, the Church faces an uncertain future.

If you would like to offer whatever talents you possess to ensure our Church is conserved, maintained and enhanced for the enjoyment of present and future generations, please come along to our Annual Meeting at Eastington Church on Thursday 4th April 2019 7pm, or alternatively you are invited to have an informal discussion with our Rector Steve Harrison, who can be contacted on 07466 858975 and at rectorstroudwater@gmail.com.

Eastington Choir
We are looking for an enthusiastic Choir Director to steer the development and enhance our Choir for the congregation and wider community.

The Choir are currently without a Director, but were meeting on a Wednesday evening, with approximately 10 singers attending each week. The Choir was been an integral part of Eastington Church for many years, with the group growing in confidence and repertoire during that time.
This role has great scope to take the Choir in a new direction, to review its purpose and identify ways to expand and advance in the future.

It is with great sadness that unless we are able to find a new Choir Director or attract any new members, the Choir will dissolve, which would be a great loss to our village.

If you are interested in getting involved with our Choir, to find out more about becoming our Choir Director, or if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact our Churchwarden
Mike Naylor 01453 828682 or at mike@mikenaylorsurveyors.co.uk.

Eastington Church Electoral Roll

The Church Electoral Roll is a register of electors who are permitted to vote at our annual meeting, where elections take part for Churchwardens and the Church Council. It is also our membership list and acts as a way that we can communicate with our members.

This year, Eastington Church has to prepare a new electoral roll. Everyone who is currently on our electoral roll will be notified and invited to re-apply.

If you would like to be added to the Church’s Electoral Roll please download this form  and return to the Church Electoral Officer: Chris Amys at Rose Villa, St Cyrils Road, Stonehouse, GL10 2QG
