William Morris Centre

William Morris is a ‘not for profit’ charity based in Gloucestershire.
For 40 years we have been helping young people from across the spectrum of learning difficulties and
disabilities to take control of their lives and extend their skills so that they can live in and contribute to
their local communities.

Our inspiration is William Morris, an original 20th century thinker who pioneered the coming together of
life, work and art in a community. Today, our services are designed to meet the emerging needs of the
people we serve in a fast changing world – please visit us at www.learning-disability.org.uk.

We offer:
● Day learning or Residential in Hiram and Merton Houses.
● Education for high needs learners provided by professionally trained staff across a range of specialisms.
● ‘Curriculum 24’ provides structured, bespoke,1:1 programmes. If appropriate this leads to nationally
recognised accreditations APT and Edexcel BTEC.
● ‘Active Lives, Active Futures’ is a day-based opportunities programme for young adults taking their first
step into adulthood. Each client works to individual targets within real vocational placements. Activities
are based around a ring of 20 social enterprises.

April 27th FUN RUN
As part of our next open day, on Friday 27th
April 2018, we are holding a Fun Run at 11am.
We would like to invite the local community to
come along and support the students and
residents!
It has been organised by one of our students
who is hoping to raise money to hire a Mobile
Planetarium one evening for William Morris.
If you would like to sponsor the students, you
