Walkie Talkies & PROWD

We enjoyed a fabulous walk on Sunday 17th September starting from The Badger. We welcomed our new members and reacquainted ourselves with our regulars members. From the Badger we followed the path behind up to six ways double kissing gates up and onto Cress Green. From there we headed out to Five Acres Grove (or the bluebell wood as we know it). After carefully crossing the railway line we took a right through about 3 lovely fields and found the path which had been cleared nicely and redirected slightly bringing us onto the road facing the George at Frocester.

After a well earned pint and the dogs had had a rest and a drink we continued our journey along the road that comes to Frocester Fayre, taking a right into fields following the footpath which sort of scoots around the perimeter for a few miles until eventually coming round the back of Green Farm and joining a footpath to the side of the Kings Head. Guess what…yes another few bevies were enjoyed in brilliant sunshine, thus concluding a truly wonderful walk with unexpectedly mild sunny weather. Thank you everyone that came along.

The Walkie Talkies is a completely free walking group welcoming everyone from all ages …and their dogs.

We meet mostly at The Badger at 1pm every third week in the month with walks in between on an ad hoc basis. We have a lively Facebook page and advertise our walks at The Badger, The Co-op, Butchers and Community Centre. Please just turn up or get in touch if you need further info.
