PARISH MATTERS

Phew!! We hope you are all keeping safe and coping with this hot weather – which will probably be over by the time you read this!

We are pleased to say that we have co-opted two new Councillors ā€“ who joined and contributed to our July meeting. We still have one vacancy, so if you would like to apply, please contact clerk@eastington-pc.gov.uk . Councillor training will be available.
Full Parish Council meetings are held in the Village Hall every 2nd Thursday of the month ā€“ from 7-9pm. Parishioners are always welcome.

Also, Iā€™m delighted to report that we have one new volunteer to help maintain the Playpark. If anyone else is interested, please get in touch (contact details below).
We are going to be carrying out essential repairs in the Playpark and may have to close it temporarily. To avoid disappointment, please check the website for details of dates etc.
Due to Covid restrictions, please be aware there are no toilet facilities at the Playpark. We would appreciate children being discouraged from using the wooded area as a toilet.
We are still having regular meeting with the Highways department of GCC, where we discuss any concerns we have within the Parish.

The recent Eastington Community Land Trust (ECLT) consultation events were well attended ā€“ and we hope that they proved to be helpful to Parishioners.
