Longfield Hospice Virtual Jurassic Coastline Challenge

If you are looking for a new challenge to get stuck into? Longfield Hospice many have just the answer. Following the success of their virtual Grand Canyon Challenge last year, the Hospice is looking for people to sign up to a new adventure and tackle the spectacular Jurassic Coastline virtually by the end of March 2021. Taking on 65 miles of walking, running or cycling – you can decide which suits you best or choose to combine your exercise to reach the 65 mile goal.
Sign up and you’ll get access to the ‘My Virtual Mission’ website to track your exercise on the map and check out the real, spectacular Jurassic Coastline views through Google Street View on some of the trails. The Hospice would love supporters to invite your family, friends and colleagues to take part too and have fun racing them to the finish, whilst keeping fit!
Starting at Charmouth Beach and finishing at Old Harry Rocks, you can choose your pace and see how fast you can complete the Virtual Jurassic Coastline challenge. Those taking part will be able to track eac and every step of their mission on the map, while taking in the incredible views virtually.
There are 4 different price points to choose from to take part: £15, £25, £40 and £60. Everyone who raises or donates £25 or more will receive a medal to commemorate completing their virtual journey through the dramatic Jurassic Coastline. The Hospice have also set up a Just Giving page bespoke to this challenge so you can also encourage others to sponsor you!
Every pound you raise from your Jurassic adventure will help to fund free care and support for patients and their families throughout Gloucestershire during this extremely challenging time.
Hospice supporters Di and Alison Merrett took part in Longfield’s last virtual mission saying “The last challenge was so enjoyable and kept us sane during the first lockdown. It was a great way for Alison and I to enjoy each other’s company while keeping fit and enjoying the wonderful countryside we have around us locally.”
