Another year and another Annual General Meeting is a chance to find out and be involved in the activities of the Eastington Community Centre and Playing Fields.
The building is 10 years old and the playing fields nearly 30 years old with the land donated by Shirley Harris in memory of Owen Harris from which the charity is named.
An AGM is to be held at the Community Centre on Tuesday 22 October at 8pm to report on the activities, approve annual accounts and elect trustees and a management committee.
There are vacancies for a trustees secretary, other trustees as well as further volunteers to help with running the building and field. We are an established team running and supervising operations, but can always seek more help.
The field is used for for football, archery and cricket and the building for a playgroup in term time and many other activities in the evenings and weekends for the Eastington and wider community.
