On the 14th April 2018 we held the second Eastington Egg Hunt. The circular walk around the village featured 32 eggs decorated with this years’ theme of TV shows.
Despite the forecast of rain it turned into a lovely sunny day and it was lovely to see so many happy smiling faces.
Thanks to Raffles Forest School we are able to offer free forest school activities and this year we were joined by Stonehouse Scouts who let children roast marshmallows over a fire pit.
No other event asks so much of so many different parts of the village, we are grateful to:
● Our hosts who had eggs attached to their gates and fences
● Our talented egg decorators
● The Kings Head House who acted as a great stop off point
● Our amazing businesses who sponsored eggs and are so willing and generous
● Our Volunteers who organised, publicised, set up, made cakes, manned stalls, cooked, painted faces, made tea and tidied away.
We think about 300 children enjoyed the day and the feedback was brilliant. In total we raised £2,500 which is split between Eastington School Parents Association and Eastington Playgroup.
