Pancreatic Cancer – An Appeal from Kim Ponting

Hello, my name is Kim and I live in the village. I wanted to ask for your help and support in a massive challenge I have set myself. In August of this year my dad passed away from Pancreatic cancer after only being diagnosed literally a year before, so my life has been turned upside down with this loss.

I’ve decided to run the London Marathon in order to raise vital funds to help research this deadly cancer. Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates and is not widely talked about but has a devastating effect on families so I want to do my bit. I have set myself a target of raising £2500 to go towards this fantastic charity Pancreatic Cancer UK. My brother is also running with me so in total we hope to donate £5000.

This is where you guys come in, I am training within the village so would love you to wave if you see me on my run and I would love for you to send me a donation of whatever you can to my just giving page:

This will be a huge challenge for me as I have recently had a baby boy born on the 17th July so as you can imagine my life is busy (I also have a 2 year old) and I am mostly sleep deprived but I am determined to give this a go! Your support means the world to me and my family and I hope I can help prevent other families go through what mine had to with the fantastic research this charity does.

Thank you so much in advance for all of your help and support, it means so much.
Kim
