Frampton surgery update (extract)
Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Two Advanced Nurse Practitioners working with local surgeries this year to help with urgent, on the day demand. If you ring this year requiring an urgent, same day consultation, you may well speak to an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Appointment lengths for routine appointments. A gentle reminder that routine GP appointments are 10 minutes long. If you know you wish to discuss a couple of matters and are likely to need longer than this, please ask reception to book you a double – or multiple – appointment(s).
Smear Tests. It is important to attend for a smear if you are called. Smear tests are generally recommended every 3 years for women aged 25- 49 and every 5 years for women aged 50-64. Visit https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/cervical-screening for more information.
Healthy Lifestyles Gloucestershire. It is worth starting the New Year thinking about your health and how you could improve it. Healthy Lifestyles Gloucestershire” is available on the NHS to offer personal support those trying to make lifestyle changes for the benefit of their health and wellbeing. Patients can self-refer online at https://www.hlsglos.org/referral/ or by phoning 0800 122 3788.
