The committee again would like to thank everyone that entered this year’s Autumn Show and their fantastic entries.
The judges had an extremely hard job this year as the quality was so high, the jam/chutney judge had concerns that they wouldn’t sleep that night!
We had 22 more entries than the last Autumn Show we held, along with 6 more entrants which is fantastic.
Mr R Hughes was again very successful winning Most Points in Show (men), Best Runner Beans, Best Allotment and Best in Show with his magnificent chrysanthemums which was decided between the judges.
Mrs L Hughes (no relation) won most points in show (ladies).
Mrs S Harvey won the Best Orchid award (sorry, no photo available)]
and Ms S Broomhall won the ECO award for best Fruit Product (Jam).
In the Children’s section Miss A Wroe won the most points, with P Haines as runner up.
A special mention goes to to James Bennie for 1st prize for his brilliant garden on a plate.
