Blue Frog Theatre Company’s ‘Paper Memories’ was a performance based on local stories, shared and passed down through generations, giving an insight into the history of the village through the eyes of some of Eastington’s most colourful characters. It was truly a celebration of community and was performed at Eastington Church in September.
The cast, all of whom were local folk, did an amazing job and brought the stories to life. However, it wasn’t just about the performance; so many people were involved in making the event happen – from all those people who gave up their time to meet and share their memories to the wonderful bell ringers and of course all those who provided lovely homemade cake and served tea, coffee and even a glass of wine if you fancied it.
A full church that night celebrated the wonderful village of Eastington. Thank you to all those who made it possible, it was a very memorable evening enjoyed by all. So many incredible stories to tell and so many wonderful characters……perhaps another performance, who knows. Thank you all.
If you would be interested in being involved in any of Blue Frog’s productions in the future, please get in touch as preparations are underway for our next performance. ‘The Village Hall Tour’ 2020 is a comedy of two acts and will be casted in the new year so watch this space.
